Inter Cars with the title of Innovator 2022

On Monday 26 September, the Wprost weekly magazine for the 12th time awarded Innovators, rewards for companies that stand out in the field of innovation. Inter Cars was among those honoured.

The Innovators Award has existed since 2011, and since 2014 the distinction has been awarded on the basis of an autonomous Innovation Research study, which verifies the expenditure by the companies entered on R&D and investment in innovation. In 2022, the Innovators were awarded in 14 categories. Inter Cars was the only winner in the Automotive area.

As Innovator 2022, Inter Cars was among the most important and largest companies operating in Poland, both multinationals and Polish branches of innovative global concerns.

The statuette and diploma were collected at the gala by Inter Cars' CEO, Maciej Oleksowicz. Thanking for the award, he emphasised that it is a great distinction, above all for the Company's employees and stressed the importance of innovative companies in the economic development of the country.

I believe that it is entrepreneurs who are the driving force of the economy and the social group that is the most innovative, so just let them act. For all entrepreneurs and for innovation. I believe that in order for innovation to come true, the right conditions need to be created and those are the conditions I try to create for people working at Inter Cars. We create an environment where everyone can express their opinion, is listened to and has access to information.

Car mechanics and on-line innovations

The project for which the company was rewarded was the Inter Cars e-Catalogue, a multiplatform tool to support the daily work of a repair garage. Its most important function is the possibility of properly selecting and ordering parts.

Inter Cars e-Catalogue also allows mechanics and garage owners to check when exactly an order can be delivered (this can even happen on the same day). In addition, users of the tool can use it to keep a repair history of the vehicles they service. What is more, Inter Cars e-Catalogue brings together all the services offered to garages by the distributor in one place.

The development of a user-friendly and efficient tool that fulfils all the above-mentioned functions was a demanding task. The Inter Cars offer includes 8.5 million spare parts, accessories and garage equipment items. In turn, the software made available to the customers must continuously integrate data on the offer for 20 markets in Europe, the availability of parts from several hundred company branches and over a dozen main warehouses on the continent. At present, Inter Cars e-Catalog is used by many customers in Poland, and ultimately it is to become a tool for all Customers of Inter Cars.

I dedicate this award to all the garages for which we have created the Inter Cars e-Catalog and to other independent entrepreneurs who are the main innovators of our economy. I also wish to thank the people who, more than 30 years ago, created the conditions for the emergence of a free market and entrepreneurship in Poland. At that time, my father and his two business partners founded Inter Cars. Let us remember those times and cherish entrepreneurship, independence and freedom.

Inter Cars appreciated again

Inter Cars is the leading distributor of automotive spare parts in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe. It is appreciated by the industry and business media, and the Innovators is yet another distinction the company has been honoured with this year. In the area of IT innovation, in spring it was awarded the title of „Best in Cloud 2021”, at the same time the company was ranked in the top ten of the „Best Employers in Poland” rank and among the best managed companies according to Deloitte agency. Maciej himself became one of the top-rated CEOs of WSE listed companies in the ICAN Management Review rank.
