Inter Cars receives SAP Innovation Award 2018

Inter Cars Group does not slow down. The market leader has once again been appreciated by the specialists, who this time decided to reward the Company for implementation of the most modern IT systems and deliver it the SAP Innovation Award 2018.

The awarded platform will eventually be available for the employees of over 100k garages in 16 countries. The system is a modern sales solution, which is a tool for the Company to support expansion on foreign markets.

Launching the new e-commerce platform is closing one important stage in digital transformation of our business. The tool really improves activities of garage employees and sales operators at Inter Cars foreign branches, enabling them fast search for the right parts and providing information when such parts shall be available. Thanks to this we are strengthening partnership with garages and we can optimize the process of placing orders. This gives us a real competitive advantage, which should be reflected in gaining a stronger position on the European market

The solution built in cooperation with e-point Company is the biggest project of SAP Hybris Commerce Cloud in Europe. In the upcoming months the system will be implemented in other daughter companies of the Group, together with popular and trusted sales tools of the Company. In autumn 2018 it is planned also to launch a pilot project providing the platform in a mobile version to customers of garages in Poland.

The reward has been collected by Tomasz Skórski, Digital Products Development Manager from Inter Cars SA, who together with Momchil Kovachev and Sylwia Cicholska was responsible for supervising work on the system.

The ceremony was held during SAP NOW - Intelligent Organization conference, which took place at the end of April in Warsaw. It is one of the most important industry events in Poland, which combines a full portfolio of SAP solutions, technologies and innovation.

Besides Inter Cars there were companies like Żabka, Kross, Polkomtel, Grupa Tauron, Generalna Dyrekcja Dróg Krajowych i Autostrad and GTV in the group of honoured ones.
