At the beginning of December another stage of Young Car Mechanic started. The plebiscite is to find talents that in 2018 will be fighting for precious rewards and the title of Young Mechanic. The organizers of the initiative have prepared some changes in comparison to the previous edition, increasing the prestige of the contest.
Young Car Mechanic
The latest edition of Young Car Mechanic was divided into 4 stages. In the first, which started at the beginning of December, students from 19 high schools included in Young HR programme, got invitations to an on-line test. The test is to verify their knowledge in the area of vehicle mechanics. Those who manage to pass it will be able to take part in regional qualifying round, fighting for the chance of getting to the national finale. This will be the last but one stage, where 10 best contestants shall compete. During this stage, the novices of vehicle repair art shall be checking not only their theoretical knowledge, but also practical knowledge, as a number of tasks prepared by Inter Cars Training Department and contest partners are waiting for them. 3 winners of the last national stage will have a chance to represent their country in the international contest, which will be the culmination of the whole plebiscite. It is already the second opening of the contest in an international environment. The first finale was held in May 2017 and participants from three countries were in it – Poland, Lithuania and Latvia. In this year’s edition of Young Car Mechanic, also contestants from Croatia and Estonia shall be taking part. It is a great chance to compare the level of education of mechanics in all those countries. It is also worth mentioning the rewards, which total value shall reach PLN 100 thousand. The total amount will be divided among the winners of the international contest, their schools, and also teachers tutoring the winning pupils.
